Support Educator to the Support Team

Now you, as a trained support educator, have the chance to work with people who have a great need for close personal support. The adult housing unit is a service that consists of the Meeting Point, Domaregatan, Tegnergatan, Mobile Night Team, and the Support Team. We help individuals live as independently as possible and improve their quality of life. Or to move on to another suitable intervention, such as housing. We are now looking for a support educator for the Support Team.

The Support Team

The Support Team is a collaboration between the Social Administration and the Health and Care Administration. Here we work with a target group that needs varying degrees of support in their daily lives. The users have mental health issues and substance abuse problems. The Support Team consists of 7 employees working closely together.

Job Responsibilities

As a support educator, you support our users in various aspects of life. This may involve creating routines in daily life, strengthening mental and physical health, and increasing independence. Motivation is a significant and fundamental part of the work. Other tasks include conducting assessments, documenting in two different systems in Viva, and providing care interventions. You also provide support regarding financial matters and preparation for potential independent living. You will also need delegation to administer medication.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a B driver's license and is trained as a social educator, treatment educator from a vocational college, or has other education we consider equivalent. Since documentation is a significant part of the job, we prefer candidates with experience in documentation systems, such as Viva. Experience in psychiatry, addiction issues, co-morbidity, and social work is a plus. Knowledge of MI, ESL, or PBS is an advantage.

We believe that you genuinely want and can contribute to both the development of the users and the organization. As a person, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, self-driven, and reflective.
